Robertson Oval new amenities building

Construction on the new amenities building at Robertson Oval is set to commence in September 2021, following the 2021 football season.

“The Dunedoo community is about to see a terrific new amenities building at Robertson Oval come to life in the coming year,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “This new building will be an asset to the township of Dunedoo and surrounding communities.”

“After Council called for tenders on this project, the contract has now been awarded to MAAS Construction,” said Cr Doolan.

“With advice from the Robertson Oval Advisory Committee, the design layout of the new amenities building has now been finalised. The new purpose-built facility will include: four (4) change rooms, both male and female for home teams and away teams that include showers and toilets; a referee’s room, including a shower and toilet; a canteen; toilets and an equipment shed,” Cr Doolan explained.

“The timing of the onsite demolition and building works is set for September 2021, allowing the 2021 football season to finish. This project is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2022 season.”

“This new modern purpose-built facility is set to help attract regional sports and events to the town of Dunedoo, which will benefit the entire community,” Cr Doolan concluded.

Funding for the project is being sourced from the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund as well as the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program, and Warrumbungle Shire Council.
