Reduced hours for waste facilities

Due to the Stay at Home Restrictions and COVID-19 Public Health Order restricting movement of resident’s waste facilities across the Warrumbungle Shire will be open under new reduced hours.

“Whilst there are many residents and businesses within the Shire that receive a kerbside collection service for general waste and recycling, there are some that don’t receive a collection and need to visit a waste facility to dispose of waste materials,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “To allow these residents, who do not receive a kerbside collection to dispose of their waste Council waste facilities will be open but under restricted hours.”

“Whilst the Warrumbungle local government remains under Stay at Home restrictions these restricted hours will remain in place and the Container Deposit Scheme in Coonabarabran and Dunedoo will be closed,” said Cr Doolan.

The following reduced opening hours will commence as of Monday 6 September 2021:

  • Baradine Transfer Station – open Thursday 9.00am - 12.00pm and Saturday 8.30am - 12.30pm
  • Binnaway Transfer Station – open Thursday 2.00pm - 5.00pm and Sunday 8.30am - 12.30pm
