Projects Under Phase 2 of LRCIP Confirmed

In great news for residents of the Warrumbungle Shire the application for funding for nearly $1.3M under Phase 2 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCIP) has been approved.

“This is wonderful news for Warrumbungle Shire residents,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “The LRCI Program Extension will allow Council to continue in delivering local road and community infrastructure projects.”

“The funding of $1,279,467 under the Program will help in the improvement of the many services that Council provides.”

“There will be many projects right across the local government area that will benefit from this funding.”

The projects that will advantage from this program include:
• Binnaway Oval – irrigation  $35,000
• Coolah Tennis Court - resurface 2 courts  $70,000
• Coonabarabran Oval No 3 - replace oval fence  $90,000
• Coonabarabran Oval No 3 - replace external fence  $30,000
• Coonabarabran Oval No 3 - renovate change rooms  $100,000
• Tucklan Road - 1km pavement rehabilitation          $200,000
• Robertson Oval - option 1                    $307,000
• Rotherwood Road - renewal of concrete causeway      $80,000
• Flags Rockedgiel Road - renewal of concrete causeway $80,000
• Napier Lane – renewal of concrete causeway                  $80,000
• Coolah Skate Park                      $35,000
• Baradine Oval - renovate change rooms          $92,000
• Avonside Road – renewal of concrete causeway  $80,467

“Council is very appreciative of the support that it receives from the local Federal Member of Parliament, Mark Coulton, for this level of funding,” Cr Doolan concluded.
