More vaccination clinics on their way for the Warrumbungle Shire

Mayor Ambrose Doolan has welcomed the announcement that more vaccination clinics are to be held in the Warrumbungle Shire.

“With our Warrumbungle community under threat of the spread of COVID-19 it is great news that more vaccination clinics are going to be held in our towns,” said Mayor of the Warrumbungle Shire, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “At this stage three additional clinics are to be held in our area to lift the protection of our community and I would urge residents to take advantage of these.”

“The extra clinics are to be held during September at:

• Dunedoo - 2 September – 4 September
• Coolah - 7 September – 9 September
• Coonabarabran - 10 September – 12 September”

“These clinics are going to be conducted by the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLH) and supported by the Australian Defence Force (ADF),” said Cr Doolan.

“The locations and times of these clinics are yet to be confirmed.”

“While these clinics will certainly boost the vaccination rates across the Council area I would remind residents that there are still doctors and pharmacists in who can provide the vaccinations.”

“One way or another I would strongly encourage people to be vaccinated,” concluded Cr Doolan.
