Media Statement - Three Rivers Regional Retirement Community

Following the termination of the contractor, Boulus Constructions in August 2018, Warrumbungle Shire Council continues to work through the issues surrounding the Three Rivers Regional Retirement Community Project in Dunedoo.

As a result of the termination of the contract, legal action was instigated by the contractor at the time, with the matter continuing to progress through the Supreme Court.

The most recent instructions from the Court are that Council and Boulus Constructions will undertake mediation. The mediation is expected to occur during early July 2021.

With the continuing legal processes surrounding the project, Council has been unable to move forward with the site and acknowledges the visual impacts the project is creating for the community of Dunedoo.

Council continues to hold regular discussions with both State and Federal Governments on the remaining project monies.

It is most disappointing for Council and the local Dunedoo Community that this matter has not yet been resolved.
