Mains Replacement Works Completed - Cassilis Street, Coonabarabran
The water main replacement works in Cassilis Street, Coonabarabran have now been completed.
“A section of water main in Cassilis Street needed to be replaced to help improve the water supply system,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “These works have now been completed with only minor site remediation and road re-sealing to go.”
“200 meters of water main pipeline along Cassilis Street in Coonabarabran between the Commonwealth Bank Building and Charles Street has now been replaced with PVC pipe which will be an upgrade from the previous mains pipe materials,” said Cr Doolan.
“This water main pipeline was identified for replacement as part of the Capital Expenditure Program and water consumers in this direct area will see a significant water quality improvement, said Cr Doolan.
“Further upgrades and replacements are set down in the next financial year, which will see further water quality improvements for Coonabarabran.”
“Council would like to thank residents and businesses in this area for their cooperation and understanding while these works were completed,” Cr Doolan concluded.
