Installation of a new section of water main in Cobborah Street, is set to improve the water supply for residents in Dunedoo. “Works on the replacement of a section of water main along Cobborah Street has commenced,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “These works are set to improve the water supply for Dunedoo residents by minimising supply interruptions and subsequently improving water quality.” The Cobborah Street water main pipeline section between Wallaroo Street and Wargundy Street has been identified for replacement as part of the Capital Expenditure Program, due to its aging infrastructure. “Around 230 metres of new pipeline is scheduled to be installed over the coming months. With the new pipeline being made from more durable material, that was not available when the original pipeline was installed, meaning this infrastructure will not age as quickly,” Cr Doolan said. “This new water main will be a fantastic new asset to the water supply system in Dunedoo and will benefit the community directly,” Cr Doolan concluded. During this construction period residents in or around Cobborah Street, Dunedoo may experience short term supply interruptions and changed traffic conditions while construction of the water main is in progress.
