Help our communities stay COVID Safe

Help us stay COVID Safe by scanning the Service NSW QR Codes when entering Council venues, including local halls and swimming pools.

“Council venues have been registered with the NSW Government as COVID Safe venues and it is important that the public helps us stay COVID Safe,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “All members of the public entering swimming pools and other Council venues must scan the QR Code, register their details and ensure they get the COVID Safe green tick before entering.”

“You do not need to have the Service NSW app on your phone to be able to scan the QR Code and sign in. If you do not have a mobile device please see a member of Council staff at the venue you wish to sign into, and they will manually enter your details into a record keeping system,” Cr Doolan explained.

“This measure has been put in place in line with the NSW Government to help ensure that efficient and effective contact tracing is available if the COVID-19 virus is prevalent,” Cr Doolan said.

Council continues to take precautions in responding to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and is closely following directions from the Australian and NSW Governments.

While Council services remain fully operational, residents are urged to consider phoning or emailing Council instead of attending Council Offices at Coonabarabran and Coolah face to face where possible. If direct contact is required then please maintain a social distance and utilise the hand sanitiser provided.

“Let’s do the right thing to keep us all safe,” concluded Cr Doolan.
