Free Online Planning Portal Workshops

Free workshops are being held on the online NSW Planning Portal to give residents and building professionals alike an understanding of the new process for lodging development applications with Council.

“With development applications going online through the NSW Planning Portal, Council has set up community workshops to provide guidance and insight into how the new Planning Portal works,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “These workshops will be run by Regional NSW Planning and guided by Council’s Town Planner.”

“Residents across the Shire who are currently applying, or plan to apply, to build and renovate should come along to these workshops, as well as professionals who apply for developments regularly. The workshops will cover important information about the development process, which will be all online through the Planning Portal from 1 July 2021,” said Cr Doolan.

The NSW Planning Portal is operated by the NSW Government, and is a digital space where the community, industry and government can work together on all aspects of planning, development, and building.

These workshops are free and are open to all community members and industry professionals in the Warrumbungle Shire. Workshops will be held in Coonabarabran on 7 July 2021 at 5:00pm and in Coolah on 8 July 2021 at 1:30pm.

“These workshops are a great opportunity to get some further information about the online lodgment of development applications and ask the Regional NSW Planning team any questions on the process,” concluded Cr Doolan.
