Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2021-2025

It is time to review and redevelop Warrumbungle Shire’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan and Council is seeking your input.

“The Disability Inclusion Action Plan provides a strategy for Council to continue to create accessible and inclusive communities while being mindful to meet various needs of people with disability,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “The Plan will set out measures enabling people with a disability to access general support and services and fully participate in the community.”

“As part of the review process Council is asking for the community to comment and provide feedback on the current Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017-21. This feedback will be taken into consideration when drafting the new Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2021-2025.”

“Input from the community is greatly valued and Council wants to hear from a diverse range of people from across the Shire, allowing our local communities to shape this new Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2021-2025,” said Cr Doolan.

“There will be the opportunity for community members to provide input during face-to-face focus groups which will be held in each town across the Shire throughout May 2021 and June 2021.”
