Dine and Discover NSW – Businesses Register now!

To help support dining and tourism industries across the Warrumbungle Shire businesses are encouraged to register now to be a part of the Dine and Discover NSW initiative.

The Dine and Discover NSW initiative encourages the community to get out and about, supporting dining, arts and tourism businesses and stimulating spending within the local economy.

“It is important that all of our eligible local businesses register to participate in the Dine and Discover NSW program, as residents aged over 18 will be able to receive $100 worth of vouchers to spend at registered businesses,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “The more local businesses who register for Dine and Discover NSW, the more vouchers will be spent locally.”

“Council is working with Service NSW to connect local businesses with information on the program, raising awareness of the initiative and providing information on eligibility requirements as well as information on the registration process,” said Cr Doolan.

“Dine and Discover NSW will be rolled out statewide in March 2021. This will see NSW residents aged over 18 able to receive two vouchers worth $25 each for dining out, and two vouchers worth $25 each for entertainment and recreation.”

To be eligible, businesses must be operating in NSW, operating in an eligible industry, registered as a COVID Safe business and have a COVID-19 Safety Plan. Businesses need to register online to participate in Dine and Discover NSW through the NSW Government website www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/dine-and-discover-nsw

“This is a fantastic initiative and I would like to encourage all businesses owners who are eligible to get on board and register,” concluded Cr Doolan.

Dine and Discover NSW is an initiative of the NSW Government. For more information call Service NSW on 13 77 88 or contact Council’s Manager Economic Development and Tourism on (02) 6849 2000.
