COVID-19 Vaccinations

Free transport will be available for all Warrumbungle Shire community members wanting to make the trip to their closest COVID-19 vaccination clinics coming in September.

“To assist residents in accessing COVID-19 vaccinations Warrumbungle Community Care is offering transport for any Warrumbungle Shire community members to get to their closest COVID-19 vaccination clinics in September,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “This is a great initiative and I encourage anyone who needs it to use this service to get the COVID-19 jab while the pop-up clinics are in our Shire.”

COVID-19 pop-up clinics are to be held during at:
Dunedoo: 2 – 4 September
Coolah: 7 – 9 September
Coonabarabran: 10 – 12 September

Warrumbungle Community Care will be offering the wheelchair accessible bus and bookings are required as there is limited seating, due to COVID-19 restrictions. The bus will pick up and return community members to their nominated location.

Masks are mandatory for the driver and all passengers using the bus, in line with the public health orders relating to mask wearing.

“These pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics are conducted by the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLH) and supported by the Australian Defence Force (ADF), to lift the protection of our community and I would urge residents to take advantage of these clinics,” Cr Doolan concluded.

Anyone within the Warrumbungle local government area is eligible to book this trip, and bookings can be made by contacting Warrumbungle Community Care in the Coonabarabran office on (02) 6849 2200 or the Coolah office on (02) 6378 5130.
