COVID-19 Pandemic: Changes To Council Services And Operating Hours

Warrumbungle Shire Council continues to take precautions in response to the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Council’s leadership team is currently following its Business Continuity Plan to manage business interruptions while at the same time maintaining the health and well-being of staff and the community.

While most services remain operational we urge residents to consider phoning or emailing Council instead of attending Council Offices at Coonabarabran and Coolah face to face where possible. If direct contact is required then please maintain a social distance of 2 metres and utilise the hand sanitiser provided.

Changes to Council Services:

Council Administration Offices: From Friday 27 March 2020 Council administration offices in Coonabarabran and Coolah will now open to the public at 9:00am.

Swimming Pools: Baradine, Binnaway and Mendooran swimming pool have been closed for the season. The final day for pool access to Coonabarabran, Coolah and Dunedoo will be Sunday 29 March 2020.

Libraries: Macquarie Regional Libraries have advised that they will be closing all Library braches across the shire from 5:00pm Wednesday 25 March 2020.

Coonabarabran Visitors Information Centre (VIC): Warrumbungle Visitors Information Centre has been closed. To contact the Visitors Information Centre during this time please call (02) 68492144.

Connect5 Children Services: Will commence transition to remote delivery mode where possible. At this time a number of locations have been closed to our service onsite, details will be provided on Connect5 Services Facebook pages.

There is a huge amount of information being distributed regarding Covid-19 and Council will continue updating the public with any service changes. This pandemic is impacting everyone so Council asks that the community please remain understanding of the situation.
