At the November Ordinary Council meeting, Council resolved to reduce the entry fees for the 2024/25 swimming season, with a new casual admission cost of $2.00 (including GST).
“This change aims to improve accessibility to the pools for the community, while maintaining high standards of safety and service,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Kathryn Rindfleish. “The $2.00 entry fee is effective immediately, starting today, Friday 22 November 2024. However, the fee applies only when a Pool Attendant is on duty.”
Subject to staffing availability, the pools will operate during the following hours:
During the December – January school holidays, pool hours may be extended to 7:00 pm.
“Visitors paying the admission fee must sign in at the front gate or counter in the Patrons Book for safety and security reasons,” said Cr Rindfleish.
Season Ticket holders are not allowed to share their passes. If it is found that a Season Ticket is used by someone other than the ticket holder, both the pass holder and the person entering the pool may have their entry privileges revoked. “We encourage all pool users to respect the rules to ensure a fair experience for everyone,” Cr Rindfleish said.
Season Ticket holders will not receive a discount due to the introduction of the $2.00 entry fee. While this fee applies only when a Pool Attendant is on duty, season pass holders continue to enjoy unlimited access to the pools from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm every day during the season.
Operating hours will be posted weekly on the Council’s website and social media channels. If you are unable to access these online, our Customer Service Team is available at (02) 6849 2000 to provide the latest information.
“Council is dedicated to providing affordable and enjoyable recreation for all. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the pool this season,” Cr Rindfleish concluded.
