Coonabarabran's Glow Up: A Night of Lights, Art, and Community

Get ready to be amazed as Coonabarabran transforms into a vibrant wonderland of light and creativity for the Bloomin’ Birds SpringFest.

On Saturday 21 September from 4.00pm to 10.00pm Coonabarabran will come alive with the inaugural Bloomin’ Birds SpringFest, a dazzling celebration inspired by the local birds and wildflowers of the Warrumbungle region.

Part of Dalgarno Street will be closed to traffic allowing the community to come together for an amazing display of light installations, captivating performances, and a vibrant market featuring local artisans, delectable food, and engaging workshops.

Highlights include:
Illuminated Art Installations: marvel at the stunning projections of Bloomin' Birds by Illuminart on the Savoy Plaza building, and be enchanted by the bird and flower window projections at SPACE Gallery, showcasing the works of local artists.
Interactive Experiences: unleash your creativity at the "Paint Today, Project Tonight" workshop for children, and explore the fascinating world of botanical tattoos with Wild Willows.
Vibrant Market: discover unique treasures from local crafters, indulge in delicious food from popular eateries like Lil Coffee Cart, Eat It and the Imperial Hotel, or maybe try a pulled pork roll, a chip tornado or glowing fairy floss.
Plants and Flowers: explore the Spring offerings from Shady Rocks nursery, the Forest Shop or stock up on natives from Bilby Blooms. Get involved with the Community Garden and the launch of the Seed Library at The Lighthouse.
Thrilling Performances: be captivated by the energetic dance performances of Yulu-gi-Mari Dance Group and Musta Dance, and groove to the infectious music of Power of 3 and Where's Dave.

"Bloomin' Birds SpringFest is a unique opportunity to showcase the incredible talent and creativity that thrives in our community," said Warrumbungle Shire Council Acting Director Corporate and Community Services Ngaire Stevens. "We are thrilled to bring together residents and visitors for an evening filled with light, art, and joy."

Bloomin’ Birds SpringFest is a community-driven event made possible by Warrumbungle Shire Council and proudly funded by NSW Government as part of the Open Streets Program. The Open Streets Program is proudly funded by the NSW Government as part of the Vibrant Streets Package, delivered by Transport for NSW.
