Coonabarabran Visitors Information Centre upgrades

The Coonabarabran Visitors Information Centre (VIC) is undergoing a makeover over the coming weeks and the front doors will have to close during this time.

“Upgrades to the retail front area of the VIC foyer will commence this month with the aim to freshen up this great one-stop-shop for travellers,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “From Tuesday 15 March 2022, the VIC will close its doors to allow for works to be completed efficiently, in time to re-open before Easter.”

Upgrade works include painting the interior of the retail area, replacing flooring, and modernising merchandise displays which will give this foyer area a refreshing face lift.

“Coonabarabran’ s VIC is a great one-stop-shop for visitors and residents in the region, providing information on things to see and do across the region while stocking and selling some incredible locally source produce,” said Cr Doolan.

The VIC will continue to respond to phone and email enquiries as fast as possible, so if you would like to get in contact with the Visitors Information Centre please call (02) 6849 2144 or email coonavic@warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au

“A change is as good as a holiday and now it’s time for our VIC front foyer to change it up, benefiting our community and travellers greatly,” Cr Doolan concluded.
