Community Financial Assistance Donations Open for 2024/25

The first round of Community Financial Assistance Donations for the 2024/25 financial year are opening soon!

This initiative aims to support local community groups and organisations with funding opportunities to enhance projects that benefit residents within our region.

"Each year, the Council provides two rounds of Community Financial Assistance Donations," stated Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. "We encourage community groups to apply for grants of up to $500 per project, contributing towards initiatives that promote and support the wellbeing of our community members."

Over the past seven years, Council has allocated approximately $150,000 across nearly 150 diverse community groups and organisations through the Community Financial Assistance Donations. These funds have supported a wide array of projects including sports, arts, educational programs, local shows, environmental initiatives, community events, historical preservation, as well as groups providing essential services such as rescue operations, disability support, and mental health services.

"I am delighted to witness the positive impact of these grants on numerous community groups and programs," added Cr Doolan. "I strongly encourage all eligible community organisations to submit applications for their respective projects."

Application forms and detailed donation guidelines will be accessible on the Council’s website under the 'Have Your Say' tab starting from Monday 5 August 2024. Additionally, hard copy application forms will be available at Council Administration Offices located in Coolah and Coonabarabran.

Applications must be submitted no later than 4:30pm on Monday 2 September 2024, and will be reviewed during the October 2024 Council Meeting. Please note that late submissions will not be accepted.
