The Warrumbungle Local Government Area (LGA) will emerge from stay-at-home orders at 12.01am on Saturday, 11 September 2021. While restrictions have eased for the Warrumbungle LGA, NSW Health continues to advise people to stay within their own LGA unless it is essential to leave. In line with that advice and that many of our local government neighbours remain under the Stay at Home Order services within the Warrumbungle Shire Council will operate under the following conditions from Monday, 13 September 2021: Warrumbungle Shire Administration Offices Council customer service counters are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Customers are encouraged to call or email before attending an office in person. Numbers of people inside are capped according to the four square metre rule and customers will be required to wait outside if limits have been reached. Phone contact is available on (02) 6849 2000 for Coonabarabran or (02) 6378 5000 for Coolah. Email enquiries can be sent to info@warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au. Service NSW Agencies Service NSW is available by appointment and strictly for residents of the Warrumbungle LGA only. Customers are asked to call and confirm availability before attending in person. Numbers of people inside are capped according to the four square metre rule and customers will be required to attend at a later time or wait outside if limits have been reached. Calls can be made to (02) 6849 2000 for Coonabarabran or (02) 6378 5000 for Coolah. Most Service NSW transactions may be completed using the Service NSW app or online at www.service.nsw.gov.au or by calling Service NSW on 13 77 88. Waste Facilities and Container Deposit Scheme Opening hours and services will be assessed weekly. For the week starting Monday, 13 September 2021, waste facilities will continue to operate on reduced hours. ‘Hole in the Wall’ facilities are available at all waste facilities. The Container Deposit Scheme through Return and Earn remains closed.
The following are the reduced opening hours for waste facilities; • Baradine Transfer Station – open Thursday 9.00am - 12.00pm and Saturday 8.30am - 12.30pm • Binnaway Transfer Station – open Thursday 2.00pm - 5.00pm and Sunday 8.30am - 12.30pm • Coolah Transfer Station – open Wednesday and Saturday 8.30am – 12.30pm • Coonabarabran Waste Facility – open Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 4.30pm and Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm • Dunedoo Transfer Station – open Tuesday and Thursday 2.30pm – 4.30pm and Sunday 8.30am - 12.30pm • Mendooran Transfer Station – open Tuesday 2.00pm - 5.00pm and Sunday 8.30am – 12.30am • Ulamambri Transfer Station – open Saturday 12.00pm - 4.00pm Waste and Recycling Kerbside collection Waste and Recycling collection will be pick up and will operate as usual. Visitor Information Centre Currently the Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre (VIC) will remain closed but will be reassessed during the coming week.
