Australia Day Activities 2022

Events and activities to celebrate Australia Day are set to be held in each of the six towns across the Warrumbungle Shire area on Wednesday 26 January 2022.

“The National Australia Day Council has provided funding to enhance Australia Day events across the Shire.” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “This funding will enable Council to bring our communities together to Reflect, Respect and Celebrate that ‘We’re all Part of the Story’.”

This year Australia Day Pool Parties will be held at the Baradine, Mendooran and Dunedoo Swimming Pools with a free barbeque, slushies and games for all commencing from 5:00pm till 8:00pm.

Both the Coolah and Coonabarabran events have also been enhanced with the assistance of this additional funding. The Binnaway Lions Club will be holding an event at the Binnaway Oval from 6:00pm ensuring that Australia Day is enjoyed by all that participate.
