2022 National Youth Week – Small Grants Program

Expressions of interest are invited for funding or non- cash support through the 2022 National Youth Week Small Grants Program.

“Organisations and community groups across Warrumbungle Shire, including Council, will once again be celebrating National Youth Week in 2022,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “In 2022 National Youth Week will run from Monday 4 April 2022 till Thursday 14 April 2022. The theme for 2022 is ‘It’s up to YOU’th’.”

Each year Council receives a small amount of funding from NSW Department of Communities & Justice (DCJ) to support Youth Week activities across the Shire. “Each year Council distributes this funding to assist organisations in the community to hold events during Youth Week. Organisations and community groups interested in holding youth activities/ events will be eligible to apply for a maximum of $500 financial support or in-kind non-cash Council Support assistance,” Cr Doolan explained.

Council is currently calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for funding or non- cash support through the 2022 National Youth Week Small Grants Program. An Information Sheet and Expression of Interest form can be found on Council’s website under the Community and Recreation tab then Youth of the Warrumbungles. Expressions of Interest are due to Council by 4:30pm on Wednesday 9 March 2022.

“Funding will not be available to support all activities across the Shire. Funding will be allocated on a competitive basis so please make your Small Grants Program – Financial Support Form as interesting as possible and include details of consultation with young people,” said Cr Doolan.

If you have any questions regarding the Expression of Interest or National Youth Week please don’t hesitate to contact Acting Manager Community Services, Kim Harper or Mandy Sulter, Community Services Connections Officer on (02) 6849 2000 or via email info@warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au

“We look forward to hearing your ideas and working with you to celebrate Youth Week 2022,” Cr Doolan concluded.
