There are a variety of unique events held in the Warrumbungle Region throughout the year. From celebrating the region's love of astronomy to hosting concerts in some of Australia's most stunning scenery, you will find everything from 150 year old horse events to bush poetry celebrations. Since its inception in 2008, Art Unlimited has attracted entries from a broad spectrum of artists, photographers and ceramicists from across Australia. Art Unlimited prize money totals more than $11,000, with first place prizes of $3000 awarded in each of the competition’s three main categories (hanging art, photography and ceramics). Winners are chosen by a panel of high profile judges from the Australian arts community. The ninth Art Unlimited event will be held on 18th to 27th May 2018 with the official opening and exhibition preview taking place on Friday 18 May, 2018 at 7pm. This event is an opportunity for artists to sell their works and for art lovers to have the chance to view these diverse expressions in art, photography and ceramics. Tickets cost $35 and can be booked via the website.

Bring digital camera and / or phone, sketching paper / pad, preferred drawing media (pencil, graphite, charcoal etc), other preferred media for studio investigation such as watercolours, oil / acrylic paints, air drying clay, ceramics, small canvas, or other desired (portable) medium. Hotel Dunedoo Camp Oven Cook Off 9/06/2018 9/06/2018 Hotel Dunedoo admin@hoteldunedoo.com 0263751403 Hotel Dunedoo will be hosting our third Camp Oven Cook Off on the 9th of June 2018! Participants are to register by the 7th of June 2018. Only $10.00 to purchase food and be a judge and all proceeds will go to the Hotel Members Club. The famous billy boil competition will be on again and other fantastic activities to keep the family entertained. The huge raffle will be drawn on the night with tickets available, closer to the date, from the bar. Starting time to cook will from 10.00 am. The Camp Oven Cook Off officials will have coals ready for you to start. Registration is free. Participants are able to enter their camp oven dish into three categories; Damper, Stew or Signature. All dishes must be cooked in a camp oven on site, no pre cooking permitted but you may prepare ingredients at home. Damper/bread dishes are to be ready at 3.30 pm for judging. All other dishes are to be ready by 4.30 pm for judging. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the day. Last year was a huge success and this year will be bigger and better.

There is a green and a green and white arrangement in the floral art section although the flower cuts etc. must be grown by the exhibitor, the floral art section doesn't have to be so you can buy them or get them from a friend. You can also use green and white vegetables as long as the green one is all green according to the schedule.
