Current Water Restrictions

Warrumbungle Water reviews town water supplies on a regular basis, and imposes Water Restrictions where necessary to manage the availability of potable water to residents.  Residents are asked to cooperate with water restrictions when they are enacted.

  

Level 1 Water Restrictions for the Town of Baradine

Due to ongoing dry conditions, dropping water supplies and high usage, the following restrictions on the use of town water in Baradine are now in place.  Effective date Monday, 27 February 2017 until Monday, 20 March 2017 when the situation will be revised.

Gardens, Car Washing, Window Cleaning

Sprinklers and soaker hoses permitted for up to 2 hrs / day between 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm.

Micro sprinklers permitted for up to 
2 hrs / day between 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm.

Hand held hoses allowed any time.

Swimming Pools Private

Filling and topping up of existing pools permitted.

Washing of Driveways, Paved Areas and Roofs

Buckets or watering cans only for health or safety reasons.

Public Gardens

Sprinklers permitted for up to 2 hrs / day between 8.00 am – 10.00 am.

Nurseries

Sprinklers permitted for up to 2 hrs /day.

Washing of: Buses, Taxis, Food Transport, Ambulances and Garbage Vehicles

No restriction.

Bowling Greens

Sprinklers permitted for up to 2 hrs / day between 7.00 am –
9.00 am.

Water Cartage from Town Supply

No restriction.

Automatic Flush Toilets

No restriction.
