Coonabarabran Sport and Recreation Centre

Project Overview

The purpose of the project is to refurbish the Coonabarabran Sport and Recreation Centre. The Coonabarabran Sport and Recreation Centre was built in the 1970’s as a sports facility for Coonabarabran and surrounding towns. The facility is currently used for a range of sport and recreation activities including basketball, netball, indoor soccer, boxing, fitness training and martial arts. The Coona B Drop In Centre, operated by Centacare, is also housed in the facility, as well as meeting rooms of the Coonabarabran RSL Sub Branch. The primary works to be undertaken is refurbishment of the main indoor hall / court and the Squash Courts. The Centre will also receive new windows and air-conditioning / heating throughout. Works will also be undertaken to remove and replace the old grandstands and update the kitchen and canteen facilities. The refurbishment of the Coonabarabran Sport and Recreation Centre is proudly funded by the NSW Government  in association with Warrumbungle Shire Council.
