Heritage in Warrumbungle Shire Council

Heritage Study Reports

Warrumbungle Shire Council is made up of the amalgamation of the former Coolah Shire Council and Coonabarabran Shire Council. Studies have been completed on both former Shires and are listed on this page.

The Coolah Shire Heritage Study Report was finalised in April 2005 and the Coonabarabran Shire Thematic History Report and Coonabarabran Shire Heritage Study Report were finalised in July 2006. In February 2014 the Baradine Heritage Main Street Study was finalised to help identify projects within the Main Street precinct that can be undertaken to ensure the town is at its best for the sesquicentenary in 2015.

Installing Modern Services on Heritage Buildings

The Heritage Tasmania website is a great place to find practical information on the approval process for works to heritage-listed properties, general principles for working with heritage properties and a useful set of guidelines for installing modern services on heritage buildings, including measures to enhance environmental sustainability.  The guidelines can be obtained from the Heritage Tasmania website.

Further information is available on the Office of Environment and Heritage website.
