Warrumbungle Dark Sky Park

Planning Minister Rob Stokes and Environment Minister Mark  Speakman welcome the successful submission of the Warrumbungle Dark Sky Park.


The Warrumbungle National Park is 23, 312 hectares, and is now part of the internationally recognised grouping of Dark Sky Parks.  As astronomer Dr Fred  Watson states, the sky really is the limit in optical astronomy.
