Update on Three Rivers Regional Retirement Community

Active construction of the Three Rivers Regional Retirement Community is expected to recommence shortly.

Tenders for the project were originally called during 2017 with building contractor, Boulus Constructions, being appointed and works commencing late 2017. During the construction Council was monitoring the work on the project and unfortunately there were significant delays caused by the Contractor not complying with the Contract and building requirements. The contractual dispute led to the termination of the contract.

Since the termination of the contract with the builder, Boulus Constructions, Warrumbungle Shire Council has been undertaking works at the site to protect and weatherproof the structures. In addition the security of the site has been improved with the fence line being made good along with a general clean up of the site.

A demountable office / lunchroom has been placed on the site to cater for the works that will continue in the near future.

Council will now work towards getting the existing buildings to lockup stage while it assesses the future direction of the facility.
