Mendooran Water Report - 5 April 2019

On Friday, 5 April 2019, the river well level was 1.34 metres and the bore level was 8.25 metres. The supply source of water for the town water supply over the last week was Bore water.

Council has now installed the diffusor into the Water Treatment Plant sedimentation lagoon which is effectively controlling algae growth allowing Mendooran to utilise the bore water as a town water supply source. With the installation of the diffusor, cooling weather conditions reducing demand, stable river and bore well water levels, pool closures as well as the recent relieving rainfalls across the Shire area, Council has made the decision to ease water restrictions in a number of towns, effective Monday 1 April 2019. Mendooran has now been eased to level 1 water restrictions.

Average daily water consumption for the period to Friday, 5 April 2019, was 135kl per day. The average daily consumption (kl per day), by week, for the last six (6) weeks is:

Residents are reminded that Level 1 water restrictions are in place. The cooperation of residents in complying with these restrictions is appreciated.

Council urges residents to continue to be mindful of the amount of water they are using and to minimise water usage wherever possible.

This will be the last water report from Council regarding the Mendooran water situation. For a range of water saving tips and full details of current Level 1 water restrictions, residents should refer to the Water Update Information page.
