Coonabarabran Water Report - Week Commencing Monday, 26 February 2018

Warrumbungle Shire Council wishes to advise residents that for the week commencing Monday, 26 February 2018, the water level at Timor Dam was 28.7% of dam capacity.

As previously advised, the current dam level is lower than the worst level recorded during the 2002 – 2010 Millennium Drought. This is the lowest level that Timor Dam has been since its construction in 1964.

Pleasingly, Council records show that daily usage, and total usage across the week, decreased last week.

Residents are reminded that Level 5 restrictions are in place for water consumers in Coonabarabran, and that failure to comply with restrictions may result in a fine or disconnection of your service. Active patrolling of streets in Coonabarabran to check compliance with water restrictions is being undertaken each day.

Residents are asked to limit their water usage wherever possible. Your efforts to minimise use at this time is greatly appreciated.
