Coonabarabran Water Report - 7 January 2018

Timor Dam Report
Timor Dam water level is currently (35.3)% capacity. Continued hot weather increases demand for water across town, putting a strain on the water supply. Residents are reminded that Level 4 Restrictions are in place for water consumers in Coonabarabran.

Water Saving Tip of the Week
About 40% of all water consumed in the home is used in the bathroom, and much of that is wasted.  Some handy water saving tips will help cut down on water wastage in the bathroom: use a bucket to collect water while waiting for water to reach temperature; make sure your hot water thermostat is not set too high as adding cold water to reduce the temperature is very wasteful; take shorter showers, and use a timer to monitor time in the shower – a simple egg timer will do, or play some music and time your shower to a song.

For a range of water saving tips for residents and businesses, and for full details of Level 4 water restrictions, please refer to Council’s website at http://www.warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au/resident-services/warrumbungle-water-sewer.
