Sir Ivan Fire - Burnt Fencing Wire Collection and Recycling

Thanks to Upper Hunter Shire Council, two metal recycling companies have offered to load and remove burnt fencing wire, posts and other ferrous metals from farms that have been affected by the Sir Ivan Fire, at no charge to farmers. The collection is planned for late October 2017, date to be confirmed.
From Waste to Recovery - New Kerbside Recycling Services

Warrumbungle Shire Council will soon begin to roll out its new kerbside 240lt recycling bin service within the town boundaries, with collections first commencing in Dunedoo and Mendooran on Monday, 23 October 2017.

Between 9 October 2017 and 30 November 2017, Warrumbungle Shire Council is undertaking a sewerage system testing program in the towns of Coonabarabran, Coolah and Dunedoo.
Town Swimming Pool Commencement Dates and Fees

Due to staff shortages the Binnaway and Mendooran pools will open on Saturday, 7 October 2017 with all other pools across the Warrumbungle Shire opening on Sunday, 1 October 2017.
Business Registrations Now Open for 'Free Cuppa' 2018

Local businesses in Warrumbungle Shire are now invited to register for the next phase of the successful driver fatigue awareness campaign, Free Cuppa for the Driver, which will operate from 1 March to 31 May 2018.
Level 1 Water Restrictions for Coonabarabran Residents

Due to ongoing dry conditions, dropping water supplies and high usage, the following restrictions on the use of town water in Coonabarabran are now in place. Effective Date – Thursday, 14 September 2017. The restrictions will be in place until further notice.
